**When can I go back inside?** Only once the fire department says it’s safe. When you do, don’t turn on the heat or air conditioning: it can push soot through the ducts and into rooms the fire never reached.

**Can the smoke smell really be removed?** Smoke odor lives in porous materials, so it takes more than air freshener. We clean surfaces, remove what’s too far gone and deodorize what stays.
