Insurance
Claims, made simpler.
Damage is stressful enough. The paperwork shouldn’t add to it. We document the damage, explain it plainly and bill your insurance provider directly, at competitive prices.
The duty to mitigate
Your policy expects you to act fast.
Homeowners have a contractual “duty to mitigate” damages. That means taking reasonable steps to prevent further loss after an incident, so your claim isn’t denied. These are the steps we take for you:
- Tarping a damaged roof
- Shutting off the water
- Boarding up broken windows
- Winterizing the plumbing

Step by step
For a smooth claim
Every policy is different, so check yours or ask your agent. These steps help with almost any claim.
- 01
Make everyone safe
People and pets first. If there’s been a fire, wait for the fire department to clear the building.
- 02
Photograph everything
Take photos and video of the damage before anything is moved or thrown away. More is better.
- 03
Call us, then your insurer
We’ll start stopping the damage while you open a claim. Your insurer will give you a claim number; send it to us.
- 04
Keep your receipts
Hotels, meals, supplies: keep receipts for anything you spend because of the damage. Your policy may cover some of them.
- 05
We document and bill
We record moisture readings, photos and the work done, and bill your insurance provider directly.
Questions
About insurance
Do you work with my insurance company?
We can bill your insurance provider directly. We document the damage with photos and readings so your claim has what it needs.
Can I choose my own restoration company?
Generally, yes. It’s your property, and you can call the company you want. If you’re unsure, check your policy or ask your agent.
What if my claim isn’t covered?
Call us anyway. Our pricing is competitive whether insurance is paying or you are, and we’ll break the costs down in a way that’s easy to understand.
